Composer-in-Residence for the Women Composers Festival of Hartford

I am honored and thrilled to announce that I have been selected as the 2027 Composer-in-Residence for the Women Composers Festival of Hartford (WCFH).

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford is a vital organization that celebrates the diverse body of women's music—both past and present. The organization is dedicated to promoting contemporary and historical women composers, embracing diversity, and empowering artists from underrepresented groups.

As Colette Hall, President of the WCFH, shared in the invitation: "I am so excited to welcome you as the 2027 Women Composers Festival of Hartford's Composer-in-Residence!".

As part of this residency, I have been commissioned to compose a new 8-12 minute work, which will be performed by the 2027 Ensemble-in-Residence. This premiere will be a highlight of the annual Festival’s Feature Concert. My work with the festival has already begun, as I am currently serving as an adjudicator for the submissions for the WCFH's 2027 Ensemble-in-Residence position.

I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to contributing to the WCFH's ongoing mission to support the creation, promotion, and performance of music by women. I look forward to working closely with the WCFH team in preparation for the 2027 Festival.

Stay tuned for more updates as I begin this exciting creative process.
